
Russia: Medvedev meets sanction-hit bankers in Gorki
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met with Russia's highest ranking financial chiefs in his personal residence in Gorki on Tuesday. Those attending included Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, chairman of Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, and head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina.
They were there to discuss the re-capitalisation of one of Russia's top banks after it came under international sanctions in July.
The Prime Minister praised Vnesheconombank as a "reliable lender", and noted its contribution to a range of major construction projects, including the Sochi Winter Olympics facilities.
