USA: Poroshenko hits D.C. for Obama, Kerry talks

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko arrived in Washington D.C. early on Thursday morning to garner further US support for his government in Kiev.

Greeted off the plane by US officials, Poroshenko will meet with President Obama in the Oval office, and deliver a speech at a joint session of the US Congress. The Ukrainian President will also conduct talks with Secretary of State John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden later in the day.

Poroshenko's visit to the US capital follows the Rada's ratification of the European-Ukrainian Association Agreement on Tuesday.
