Ukraine: Fires erupt outside Rada as Right Sector violence escalates
Protesters and members of the Right Sector clashed with the police while staging a rally in front of the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) in Kiev on Tuesday.
A number of the activists clashed with police, pelting them with eggs and lighting tyres on fire in front of the parliament.
The outbreak comes as new legislation introducing three years of autonomy to the Donbass region was voted and approved by Rada.
Earlier on, crowds grabbed Vitaly Zhuravsky, a deputy of the Economy Development group, as he stepped out of Rada on a break and dumped him in a bin. Protesters were heard chanting 'glory to Ukraine'.
