
Germany: Four firefighters injured in warehouse blaze
Four firefighters were injured, three of them seriously, due to explosions that took place while tackling a blaze a warehouses in Hilden in the early hours of Sunday. Police said in a statement that the fire grew worse with several detonations after the firemen arrived at the scene.
Packaging, paper, plastic and car tires were amongst some of the things stored at the site. Forty people were evacuated from nearby houses.
The fire was under control after about five hours, but the rescue ongoing 12 hours after breaking out.
