Tajikistan: "Ukraine, EU sanctions tools of U.S. foreign policy," blasts Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to the latest round of EU sanctions against Russia as "weird," given the ongoing push to end the conflict in Eastern Ukraine in Dushanbe on Friday. He also suggested Ukraine is being used as a client state by the US in a bid to expand its global reach and power.
Commenting on the Russian nationals blacklisted by the European Union, the Russian president also said the move could boost the officials’ performance in their main duties.
Putin spoke at the second day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
