
Tajikistan: Putin calls for more business ties, infrastructure with China
Speaking at the second day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Dushanbe on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for business ties and infrastructure to be boosted.
Addressing a meeting of SCO state leaders, including representatives from countries with observer status, Putin said all Eurasian countries would benefit from a unified transport network by joining Russia's Trans-Siberian Railway with China's Silk Road route.
Following the meeting, leaders signed an agreement on international road transport within SCO countries. The summit is set to wrap up tomorrow.
