      Russia: Army counter-terrorist drills with T-90 MBTs held at Mulino

      Russia's armed forces staged counter-terrorist drills in Nizhny Novgorod on Wednesday, they practiced seizing buildings in an urban environment.

      The exercises were held at the Mulino Training Ground involving two teams: one representing 'terrorists' who occupied buildings which the second group had to liberate.

      Artillery was deployed in the run-up to the assault on the 'terrorist' team who were armed with RPGs, sniper rifles and AKM assault rifles. The rescue team were equipped with T-90 tanks, AKM assault rifles, grenades and RPK machine guns.
