
Chile: Bomb explodes in Santiago metro, injuring 10
A bomb exploded in a fast-food outlet next to a metro station in the Chilean capital of Santiago, Monday, injuring at least 7 people. Government spokesperson Alvaro Elizalde said anti-terrorist laws would now be invoked.
The explosive device was reportedly hidden in a metallic dustbin and exploded shortly after 14.00 local time.
The injured are four women, one of whom required amputation, and three men, including an Argentine citizen who had lesions in the abdominal area, Emergency Services reported.
