UK: Watch hundreds protest "Muslim grooming gangs" in Yorkshire
Around 100 protesters marched through the streets of Rotherham, in Yorkshire on Saturday, to oppose "Muslim grooming gangs" in a protest led by Britain First and members of the English Defence League (EDL).
Scuffles briefly broke out between a group of protesters and passersby, but the remainder of the march continued without interruption. The leader of Britain First, Paul Golding, unveiled a banner reading "Justice for victims of Muslim grooming" onstage, despite the banner having been forbidden by authorities.
Protesters blamed "Pakistani Muslims," the local council, social services and police for the mishandling of the reported rape of over 1,400 girls in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013.
