Russia: Slain photojournalist Andrei Stenin's funeral held in Moscow
Hundreds of mourners paid their last respects to photojournalist Andrei Stenin in Moscow, Friday after he was killed in eastern Ukraine.
The two-hour memorial service was held at the offices of news agency Rossiya Segodnya, formerly RIA Novosti, which employed the photographer. He will be buried later in the day at Moscow’s Troyekurovskoye Cemetery, near the graves of three other Russian journalists who were also killed covering the conflict in Ukraine.
Agency chief Dmitriy Kiselyov has said Stenin went missing August 5 and was killed by Ukrainian army tank fire shortly afterwards. His remains were found in the Donetsk region two weeks ago but were only identified Wednesday through DNA testing.
