
Germany: Samsung wows with out of this world tech in global launch
Samsung announced three new devices including the Galaxy Note 4, the Note Edge and a virtual reality headset, the Gear VR, as part of it's Unpacked Episode 2 event in Berlin on Wednesday. Launches were also simultaneously staged in New York and Beijing.
Samsung's flagship big screen smartphone now boasts front and back cameras, improved screen resolution and quality, a 16 megapixel camera and and an S-pen to write. Samsung Electronic's marketing chief, DJ Lee, presented the newest products to hundreds of media representatives, wowing them with the new Galaxy Gear SmartWatch and the Note Edge, which has a screen that curves around one side of the phone.
The Gear VR device sees Samsung launch into the virtual reality market with software developed by Oculus VR. With partnerships including Marvel and Legendary Pictures, the device will be aiming for the entertainment market when it goes on sale towards Christmas time.
