Ukraine: Yatsenyuk backs military chief changes
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced Monday he is backing Ukrainian President Poroshenko's position of immediate change in military agency chiefs.
Yatsenyuk visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers, who are receiving treatment in one of Dnepropetrovsk hospitals. He awarded the Order of Bogdan Khemlnitsky III class to Semyonchenko, the commander of the National Guard's Donbass battalion.
In late August Semyonchenko posted desperate pleas on his Facebook account for Kiev authorities to send reinforcement to save the abandoned and besieged units in Ilovaysk. He criticised the Ukrainian forces command and called for pickets near the General Staff compound in Kiev.
