Russia: Watch as 700kg of MAMMOTH fossils are unearthed
An international crew completed the "In Search of the last Arctic Giant" expedition on Friday, concluding the mission to find the fossils and bones and extinct mammoths in the Beryozovka estuary.
The expedition crew, including foreign palaeontologists from the United States and Moldova, brought 700 kilograms (1,543 lbs) of fossil materials to Yakutsk.
An international centre called "Revival of the Mammoth" will open its doors in Yakutsk in September 2014, with the goal of studying the mammoth cells for the collective use of molecular palaeontology.
