Ukraine: "Panic, and we might as well be arming our enemy" Poroshenko warns POOL
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko urged the nation not to panic in spite of a difficult situation, while speaking at a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council in Kiev on Thursday.
Poroshenko emphasised the importance of using common sense and developing a clear plan for further actions. Destabilisation and panic, the president warned, would be the equivalent of equipping Ukraine's "enemies" with tanks, APCs and AK rifles.
Poroshenko also said that Kiev troops are capable of dealing with east Ukrainian militia groups on their own but they need modern weapons and better intelligence data.
