Ukraine: Hospital hit by shelling in central Donetsk
A hospital was severely damaged by Ukrainian army shelling in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, Sunday. Medical officials at the Kalinina hospital said no injuries were registered when the morgue and two other buildings part of the hospital's complex were hit by the shells.
Several dozen patients were rushed to the hospital's basement, some in stretchers, where they remained for the next hours.
Straight after the explosions, dozens of militiamen from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic rushed to the site to monitor the situation. The shelling of Donetsk continued on Sunday morning, shortly before the parade that was promised by the Donetsk forces for the Independence day was scheduled to happen.
