
Russia: Lavrov confirms humanitarian aid convoy to be sent to Ukraine *POOL*
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the sending of a humanitarian aid convoy to Ukraine during a press conference held in Sochi, Tuesday.
Lavrov said that a method of delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine has been agreed upon in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross; Ukrainian authorities; the United Nations, and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
He added that Russia sent an official note the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to set the humanitarian aid delivery in motion, and that the confirmation of readiness to accept assistance was received from the Ukrainian side today.
