
Russia: Moscow sends 2,000 tons of aid to east Ukraine POOL
A convoy of 280 trucks carrying 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid set off from Alabino, Moscow towards the border with Ukraine on Tuesday. Earlier, Russia and Ukraine agreed on a humanitarian mission to east Ukraine under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Among the provisions - to which Ukraine, US and the EU have contributed - are 400 tons of grains, 100 tons of sugar, 62 tons of baby food, 54 tons of medical equipment and medication, 69 power generators and 12,000 sleeping bags.
The trucks are expected to arrive on August 13.
