Dozens of pro-Palestine demonstrators took part in a rally at Pushkinskaya Quay in the city of Moscow on Wednesday to protest against the Israeli onslaught in Gaza.

People waved the Palestinian flags and distributed leaflets, while some children wore signs with a target on their back and the inscription: “I’m not a goal – I'm a child” in protest against the mounting death toll of Palestinian children.

According to U.N. officials, 1,814 Palestinians have died in Israeli attacks since the IDF launched Operation Protective Edge on July 8. Nearly 300 of the deaths have been children.

Well-known Russian actors, politicians, writers, publicists, as well as representatives from various political and social circles of Moscow were also reported to have joined Wednesday's protest.
