Deep craters revealed that destruction had narrowly missed a children's playground, located by a church, in Gorlovka on Tuesday.

Ukrainian troops and anti-Kiev militia blame each other for the ongoing shelling of Gorlovka, but residents report that the Ukrainian Army deployed GRAD rocket systems to target the city, severely damaging residential areas and public infrastructure like public transport, and water supply.

Two days of shelling in Gorlovka has claimed the lives of 31 people and wounded at least 43. Locals have sought refuge in shelters and basements, with some even fleeing the city.
