Russia: Lavrov slams 'blatant censorship of RT by UK regulator'
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed concern Monday about the attempts by British regulator Ofcom to limit the broadcasting of RT in the United Kingdom. He said "periodic" threats by Ofcom to revoke RT's UK licence amount to a "blatant demonstration of censorship."
He also stressed that Russia was committed to helping journalists establish the facts related to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
He made the comments during a press conference in Moscow, Monday, concerning issues such as the Ukrainian conflict and the situation in Gaza.
