Norway: Terror threat causes massive queues at Norway-Sweden border

Norway has tightened security after intelligence services released information warning of a potential terror threat. The increased security checks have created long queues at the Svenisund Bridge in Helden on the Norwegian-Swedish border, Saturday.

Queues built up along the border region, with authorities checking the passport or ID of everyone entering the country.

The new security measures, which include partial airspace closures, came into effect on Thursday after intelligence services released information that a band of Syrian fighters could be planning a terrorist attack.
