UN: Palestinian UN Observer fights back tears over Gaza
Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations Riyad Mansour broke down in tears while addressing the UN Security Council in New York Friday, saying the Council "has not stopped this act of aggression" as the Israeli military continues operations in Gaza. He added that the Palestinian people would spare no effort to "put an end to this barbaric act of aggression."
The death toll in Gaza has now reached over 340 people, including 77 children. The UN has confirmed at least 50,000 people have been internally displaced, while around 2,400 people have been injured. Two Israeli soldiers were killed on Saturday.
