Brazil: Brazil's "mini-Germany" celebrates World Cup win

German descendants from Blumenau, a city in the Valley of Itajai, organised a mini Oktoberfest to honour the final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Sunday. Drinking beer and treated to traditional German foods including wurst, over 2000 people attended the event which saw Germany beat Argentina 1-0.

With an estimated population of around 302,000 people, Blumenau's inhabitants are mainly ethnic German and Italian.
