Ukraine: Calm in Lugansk shattered by military shelling
Lugansk suffered a round of shelling on Saturday as munitions from the Ukrainian army hit rebel positions in Kamennobrodsky district.
The city had experienced a period of relative peace since an assault by the Ukrainian army was repelled by rebels on July 7.
However, on June 11 the Ukrainian army renewed its shelling, hitting a bus station and near a train station in the city, it also retook some areas which were previously under the control of local self defence units.
