
USA: Protesters converge on Israeli embassy to call for end to Gaza strikes
Dozens of activists gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC Friday to show their support to the people of Gaza and voice their anger towards recent Israeli airstrikes in the region.
Several organisations and movements, such as Answer coalition, the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, Code Pink and the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), were present.
Security around the embassy included eight police motorcycle, and around a dozen police officers. Protesters were kept in a specially assigned zone, surrounded by metal barriers.
