
Mexico: Police fire teargas at angry protesters
Police and protesters clashed on the Atlixco Puebla highway in San Bernardino Chalchihuapan on Thursday, following a modification in the law that handed control of the civil registry to the auxiliary presidency.
Protesters threw sticks and stones at police, who fired back with teargas in an attempt to remove protesters from blocking transportation on the highway.
Four police were injured and four protesters were detained during the clashes.
