Brazil: Neymar fans flock to Fortaleza hospital
Dozens of worried fans gathered outside Sao Carlos hospital in Fortaleza on Friday as Brazilian superstar Neymar checked in after suffering a fracture to his vertebra in the World Cup match against Colombia.
The fans said they hoped a quick recovery of the Brazilian "golden boy", while hoping that the rest of the squad will succeed to move forward in the tournament.
Neymar collided with Colombia's Juan Zuniga in the final minutes of the match, when an apparent knee to the lower back took down the Brazilian player. After being carried out of the field on a stretcher, Neymar was taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that his recovery will take at least a few weeks, preventing the player from taking part in the remainder of the World Cup.
