UK: Metal band rocks a black box in Gherkin art project
Death metal band Unfathomable Ruination performed for over 20 minutes in an airtight box in central London on Thursday. After being locked inside by security, the hard rockers performed to full capacity within the box until their air ran out.
After the box was opened, the band emerged from inside still playing, but panting for fresh air. Around 100 people, many of whom had just left work, came to observe the interactive art exhibit.
The art project, designed by Joao Onofre, is on show outside the Gherkin office blocks in London's City district.
