
Singapore: $800,900 earrings up for grabs at deluxe jewellery expo
The Singapore International Jewellery Expo 2014 opened on Thursday at the world's most expensive building, the Marina Bay Sands resort.
The exposition is showcasing a pair of cushion-cut diamond earrings set in white gold from Singapore-based IVY Masterpiece. The $800,900 (€586,654) earrings are made up of four diamonds weighing 22.17 carats (4.43 grams) in total.
IVY also showed off some of the rarest coloured diamonds in the world, such as the Fancy Red at 1.52 carats (0.3 grams) costing $1.8 million (€1.32 million). Pear shaped diamonds from Brazil, Vivid Purple Pink and Vivid Blueish Green are 0.92 and 0.91 carats (0.184 and 0.182 grams) respectively, each costs $550,000 (€402,900).
