The attack reportedly hit a marketplace as well as numerous residential buildings in the city, wounding several people.
The shelling came the day after Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko terminated a ceasefire which had been in place from June 20. Three civilians were killed in Slavyasnk in a previous bombing on June 29.
