      Germany: Algerian ambassador watches match with Steinmeier

      German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Algerian ambassador Nor-Eddine Aouam met in Berlin on Monday to watch the World Cup match between Germany and Algeria. Germany won the match 2-1to advance to the quarter-finals.

      The game took place 32 years after the German national team was accused along with the Austrian team of fixing the results of their match, a move which led to Algeria's elimination from the 1982 tournament.
