      The Swiss national football team returned to its base in Porto Seguro after a devastating 5-2 defeat at the hands of France, Friday.

      The team arrived at the La Torre Resort Hotel at 2130 local time but no fans came to welcome them back.

      The score-line marked Switzerland’s first loss in World Cup 2014 after the side beat Ecuador 2-1 in their first match last week.
