
Ukraine: Armed men seize control of National Bank of Ukraine in Donetsk
Armed men loyal to the Donetsk Peoples Republic seized control of National Bank of Ukraine in Donetsk on Monday, June 16. Around 20 armed men took part in the seizure.
The main offices of the National Bank of Ukraine, the regional offices of both the State Treasury Service and the Ministry of Revenue and Duties, have also been seized.
The press service of the Donetsk Peoples Republic says the move was designed to consolidate the cash flow of the region inside the self-proclaimed republic.
