UK: Protesters slam Viking expo funded by BP's "dirty oil money"
Dozens of self-proclaimed 'actor-vists' converged on the British Museum in London Sunday afternoon dressed as Vikings to protest against British Petroleum's (BP) sponsorship of the museum's Viking exhibition.
The protest was staged by the 'Reclaim Shakespeare Company', who held a "Viking funeral" inside of the museum.
A protester named Peter said that they are trying to stop BP from putting its money inside cultural institutions, describing BP's funding as "dirty oil money".
The Reclaim Shakespeare Company has been staging protests against BP's sponsorship of cultural and social events in London since 2012.
