Pakistan: Fresh gun battle erupts at Karachi airport
A gun battle erupted close to Karachi airport Tuesday, a day after Taliban militants attacked one of its terminals with guns and a bomb which left at least 36 people dead.
Reports say gunmen on two motorcycles opened fire on Karachi's airport security academy and then fled after Pakistani forces retaliated.
In a statement on Monday, a spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban said the attack was in response to recent Pakistani military air operations targeting the group.
