Petro Poroschenko was sworn in as president of Ukraine during an inauguration ceremony
at the Verkhonva Rada in Kiev on Saturday.
A number of delegates attended the ceremony, including US Vice President Joe Biden and Yulia Tymoschenko.
Poroshenko won the Kiev elections on May 25, gaining 54.7 per cent of the vote in the first round.
