
Germany: Merkel values Georgia's role in NATO
During the Press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Berlin on Monday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Georgia is an important partner to NATO and has benefited the organisation, specifically in Afghanistan.
Merkel also said she approves of Georgia improving relations with Russia, arguing it would benefit the people in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
