Denmark: Bilderbergs discussed NATO defence budget, says insider
Bilderberg attendee Diederik Samsom, an MP of the Dutch Labour party, talked in front of the Bilderberg conference in Copenhagen on Friday where he said Bilderberg leader discussed the defence budget during the meeting.
Samsom stated that he does not believe the budget should go up, but other parties do think more should be invested in defence. The Dutch MP also elaborated on the Bilderberg conferences in general, saying that he thinks, on the one hand it does not need to be quite so secretive, but on the other hand the format allows people to speak their mind freely.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Bilderberg Group's annual conference. Considered to be one of the most secretive summits of the year, the 2014 conference like its predecessors, is attended by some of the world's most powerful people.
