Germany: The images from Syria and Ukraine mainstream media ignores
Showcasing the images mainstream media sometimes fails to show in the ongoing conflicts in Syria and Ukraine was the theme at the opening of a new exhibition at the HO Berlin art gallery in the German capital Friday, titled "Material Evidence Ukraine and Syria." The exhibition features numerous photos and recovered objects from the conflicts, including 'Berkut' riot police equipment from Ukraine, children's toys from Syria, and a vehicle used in a Syrian suicide bombing.
According to Gallery Manager Jesus Ballesteros, the goal of the exhibition is to "show the world the truth" and that "what you don't see on TV is what you can see here."
The exhibition lasts until June 9. It was previously in Brussels, Belgium's The Egg exhibition space.
