
Ukraine: Donetsk residents erect new barricades "to save their own lives"
Donetsk residents got to work building new barricades in the outskirts of the city on Tuesday, following fighting between Ukrainian army and DPR soldiers. People carrying tyres and unloaded sand from trucks to fortify the new barricades.
Anastasia, one of the local residents who helped in building barricades, said that they are doing so to protect themselves, and that those who want "to save their own lives" joined in.
Monday clashes between Ukrainian army and DPR militia members left over 30 people dead and many injured.
