Belgium: Laurent Louis denies connection with Brussels shooting, says accusations ‘irresponsible’
Speaking in Charleroi on Sunday, Leader of the Debout les Belges party Laurent Louis denied any relation to the shooting outside the Jewish Museum that rocked the Belgian capital of Brussels on Saturday 24.
Louis accused the President of the Belgian League against Anti-Semitism Joel Rubinfeld of irresponsibly accusing him of participating in the incident and subsequently putting Louis’s life in danger.
Louis said he has received death threats and that he is under police protection since the accusations were made. Louis also accused other politicians of politically using the shooting to "justify the result of the elections".
