
Ukraine: Voter turnout exceeds expectations - Election Commissions Deputy Head
Speaking at a press conference in Kiev on Sunday, Deputy Head of Ukraine's Central Election Commission Janna Usenko-Chernaya announced that voter turnout has exceeded preliminary expectations.
Usenko-Chernaya noted that the highest voter activity had occurred in Kiev with 22.71% of the electorate turning out to vote. She also expressed concern over actions carried out by anti-Kiev self-defence forces in Lugansk and Donetsk, accusing the groups of terrorising the local populace.
