
Ukraine: Voting underway in Kiev
Polling has begun in Kiev as Ukrainians head to the polls for Sunday's presidential elections. Voting started at 8am (06:00 GMT) and will run until 8pm (18:00 GMT)
Opinion polls have put chocolate tycoon Petro Poroshenko as favourite, with former prime minister and leader of the Batkivschina (Fatherland) Party, Yulia Tymoshenko coming in second. Other candidates include Oleh Tyahnybok from Svoboda and Mykhailo Dobkin from the Party of Regions.
Some 3,600 foreign observers from 19 countries and 19 international organizations have been deployed to monitor Sunday's election.
The vote is being boycotted by the self-proclaimed authorities of the eastern Ukrainian regions of Lugansk and Donetsk.
