
Thailand: Military flexes its muscles in tense Bangkok

With anti-coup protests continuing in the Thai capital, the country’s Royal Army attempted to secure the streets of Bangkok on Saturday. Fully armed with weapons including the Israeli-manufactured IMI Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle, the military are operating throughout the capital and have blocked a number of streets in a bid to maintain control.
