Ukraine: Hooked-up couples show love is pain
Zip-lining hooks penetrated the flesh on the backs of willing participants Thursday in Kiev, as a new national record was broken for the largest number of people joined together for a "death slide" across the Dnieper River. The national record was achieved after four participants zip-lined at the same time for about 400 metres (1,312 feet).
Among the hooked-up participants were Maria Hafitsa and Pavlo Klets, a couple who said the current political situation in Ukraine did not concern them. They added that "politics is politics," and plan on visiting Moscow in June for a festival.
