Venezuela: Maduro signs oil deal with Palestine's Abbas
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro received his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas at the Miraflores Presidential Palace in Caracas, Friday. Abbas begins a two-day trip to Venezuela.
The two leaders signed an agreement under which Venezuela will provide crude oil and diesel to Palestine, and will include the State of Palestine in the Petrocaribe oil alliance.
Abbas has also made a request for Palestine to be granted observer status in three South American organisations – the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
