      Ukraine: Six paratroopers dead in battle with militia, says Army spokesman

      Alexey Dimitroshevski, spokesman for the Ukrainian Army's general staff, told Ruptly on Tuesday that a firefight between soldiers and militia fighters had resulted in the deaths of six paratroopers, with a number injured.

      According to Dimitroshevski, the fighters attacked with assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades. The officer spoke as further units of the Ukrainian armed forces moved towards the town of Slavyansk.
