Ukraine: Public workers drag away barricades on Maidan square

Around 20 public sector workers, with the help of a tractor and a truck, dismantled barricades left over from the Maidan protests near European square in central Kiev on Tuesday.

The barricades were mostly made out of tyres, stones, wood and metal scrap. The area around Khreschatik street had also had its barricades dismantled, which were later replaced by concrete blocks.
