      Ukraine: Military begin arming themselves to the teeth near Izyum

      The Ukrainian military amassed transport helicopters, tanks and armoured personnel carriers near the town of Izyum Tuesday, ahead of a possible operation to remove pro-Russia protesters from government buildings in areas throughout eastern Ukraine. Military personnel also searched vehicles driving in and out of the area for weapons.

      One soldier said his assignment was to work with Ukrainian Interior Ministry troops, and to not shoot as peaceful citizens. He added that his unit would be working in a support role with the Interior Ministry.
