Germany: Berlin Antifa Congress meets for crisis talks
Anti-fascist activists from across Europe gathered for the opening of a three-day international Antifa Congress in Berlin on Friday to address racism in Europe and the rise of the far right.
Speakers from France, Greece, Hungary and Sweden reported on the current situation in their countries and discussed how a rise in far-right popularity could be countered. Members discussed the new Alternativ für Deutschland, and whether it could be stopped before its influence grows "too big."
The International Antifa Congress is being held at Freie Universitat at Ernst Reuter Platz. Its programme includes a variety of panel discussions, talks and workshops.
